Algemeen nut beogende instelling

ANBI stands for Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, which is a non-profit tax designation in the Netherlands. The Dutch tax authorities grant ANBI status to organiza- tions or societies that serve the general interest of the community. To qualify, an organization must meet several conditions including that at least 90% of its efforts must be focused on the general good. ANBI does not have to pay any inheritance or gift tax on the income receives through gifts or legacies.
